In 2021, MapMalawi received a Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team Community Impact Microgrant to support detailed mapping of Dzaleka. The work involved local youth, TakenoLAB, and geospatial contributors who helped document infrastructure that is often missing from mainstream maps.
